> Retirement Planners
Retirement and pension planning is one of the most important forms of financial planning because for many of our clients, their pension or pensions will be one of the most important investment vehicles they will use.
For many people the pension landscape can be daunting and we specialise in helping clients understand exactly what their options are before helping them make the right decisions for them.
We are not a transactional business and we look to build long-term relationships with all of our clients based on ongoing service and regular contact. This is particularly important in relation to pension planning because the pension industry and legislation around the industry has regularly changed in the past few years. With the birth of “Pension Freedom” in 2015 there are now many more options available to many clients than there were historically.
Before our clients come to take capital from their pensions the focus of our advice is typically on how to make the most of the pension contributions that are being made by them and on their behalf into their pension plan or plans. However when our clients come to retire the focus often switches into how they can most effectively take the pension benefits that they have accrued.
There are a number of different options including purchasing an annuity or accessing flexible access income drawdown. Deciding how to access pension benefits is one of the most important financial decisions most of our clients will make in their lifetime. We are expert retirement planners who help our clients make the right choices at retirement.
> Pension Transfer Specialists
All our pension planners hold pension transfer specialist qualifications. They either hold the Chartered Insurance Institute’s AF3 qualification or the London Institute of Banking and Finance’s Award in Pension Transfers. This means that they are experts in pension planning and are qualified to give advice on pensions plans that include guarantees and final salary pensions. This also means that they can advise on final salary pension transfers.
